Overview
Synopsys offers more than 25,000 design engineers who use the DesignWare Library and the DesignWare Verification Library, the ability to evaluate and design easily at their desktop using high-performance, high-value IP from leading Star IP providers such as IBM, NXP and Altera.
Microprocessors
Each microprocessor in the DesignWare Star IP program has an AMBA AHB interface for compatibility with the DesignWare on-chip bus solution and other AMBA-based DesignWare IP, providing complete plug-and-play microprocessor subsystems.
The microprocessors available from Synopsys as synthesizable cores include
IBM's PowerPC 460 and 405 cores,
as well as an ASIC-optimized version of Altera's Nios II processor core.
DSP
The DesignWare CoolFlux DSP Star IP Core is a new embedded, synthesizable, 24-bit DSP core, which is designed for ultra-low power applications.
The technology is easily programmable with development tools provided by NXP and developed by DSP Valley partner, Target Compiler Technologies.
Licensing
The Design Views, which include simulation and timing models, verification environment and full documentation, are available to all DesignWare Library and DesignWare Verification Library licensees at no additional cost.
DesignWare Library customers may license the Implementation Views (including the synthesizable RTL) of the respective core from the IP owner. After the purchase, Synopsys will provide design and implementation support.
Note: You will be required to have signed the most recent version of the Synopsys End User License Agreement (or a DesignWare Supplement to an existing Synopsys EULA) in order to receive the Design Views.
